Olgica Beamish has more than 20 years’ experience in project management, environment, corporate communication strategies, crisis resolution, program implementation, public relations, commercial product launches, rule of law and event management in the private sector, international organisations, government organisations, embassies and NGOs. Stakeholders include the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), IFC, OSCE, major civil society organisations and giants of global industry. She spent over a decade working in management, communications, PR and marketing for fast-paced blue chip companies such as Dupont, Revlon, T-Mobile, Kraft foods, Heineken, working in telecommunication, banks and leasing companies, FMCG, and mining sectors.
Her strength and capacity to work in multi-cultural environments, managing complex and sensitive tasks with multiple high level officials and senior management of public and private organisations are a testament to her excellent skills in communication, conflict resolution and people management.
In the last 5 years working in the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) she was a key member of the 2011 and 2015 Eye on Earth (EoE) Summits in Abu Dhabi, during which she was responsible for related global networks (planning and implementation), preparation of major events, acting liaison between the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP’s) divisions and Eye on Earth (EoE) Secretariat, partners outreach, strategic capacity development helping the establishment and growth of the network and the secretariat itself.
She holds a Master Degree in Economy from Faculty of economy and political science Alfa, Belgrade.
